Please read this privacy policy carefully before using the "Letterpress With Love" website (hereinafter referred to as "the website") and the services provided by "Letterpress With Love" (hereinafter referred to as "I", "me"). By using the website or any of the services I provide, such as bespoke or semi-bespoke design and printing (hereinafter referred to as “the services”), you agree to be bound by this policy.

Purpose of data processing

I use your personal data for the purpose of maintaining the website functional and to provide the services. I treat personal information with confidence, care and for the given purpose. In doing so, I adhere to the relevant requirements of the applicable data protection legislation.

Collected Data

  1. Browsing information necessary to run the services
    The website’s hosting provider Squarespace collects device information that your browser sends whenever you visit the website. This data concerns the devices you use, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL (the page that brought you to the website), IP address and time zone.
    The website also collects information about the web pages or products that customers view through the 3rd party service StatCounter. The website does this based on anonymous, pseudonymised or aggregated information which does not focus on you individually, with the purpose of operation, security and optimisation of the website, as well for the anonymous recording of the number of visitors and the extent and nature of use of the website.

  2. Personal information necessary to provide the services and fulfil orders
    When you contact me by email, request a quote, conclude a contract, in order to process your requests I may need to collect some of your personal information such as your name, email address, postal and billing address, phone number, event details, guests lists, guests addresses, baby photo, name, weight, length, birth date and time. In some cases (e.g. baby photo and where indicated), the data collection is performed directly by me and never shared with any third party.

Cookies

The website collects cookies (small files that the website creates in your browser and that are saved on your end device).

  1. The website uses functional and required cookies to allow visitors to navigate and use key features on the website (for instance, shopping cart and checkout, autocompletion of form fields). Some of these cookies persist until they are deleted in the visitor's browser.

  2. The website uses Analytics and Performance cookies to identify unique visitors and improve the statistics about how users visit the website and use the services. These cookies have a lifespan between 30 minutes and 2 years.

You can configure your browser to reject cookies. Furthermore, you can delete cookies from your browser. You also have the option to prevent the recording of data by downloading and installing appropriate browser add-ons.

Payment services

The website's hosting provider Squarespace uses third party services such as Stripe and PayPal to collect payments (for instance, when ordering products on the website). By using either of these payment services on the website you are subject to their privacy policies, that can be consulted here:

Online purchases

Whenever you place an order through the website, all the data you provide during checkout is treated by Squarespace, the website’s hosting provider, so that they can provide online store services to me. This information may include your:

  • Billing and shipping address(es)

  • Email address

  • Name

  • Phone number

Social Plug-ins

The website uses social plug-ins such as Pinterest and Instagram for the purpose of promotion. The respective providers guarantee compliance with data protection rules. The respective privacy policies can be consulted here:

Fonts

The website uses font files from Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts. To properly display the website to you, servers where the font files are stored may receive personal information about you, including information about your browser, network, or device and your IP address.

Order emails

I may email you with messages about your order, for example to confirm a purchase, to let you know that your order has shipped or to discuss with you the customisation of your (semi-)bespoke design. It’s not possible to unsubscribe from these messages. I share your contact information with the website’s hosting provider Squarespace, so they can send some messages to you on my behalf.

Publicity

I reserve the right to showcase the produced stationery on the website, in social media, in the press as well as at commercial events and trade shows for the purpose of publicity. I do my best to conceal bespoke wording, for instance by photographing dates, surnames or addresses out of focus or cropped. I reserve the right to showcase the bespoke stationery fully, once the relative event (for instance a wedding or a birth announcement) has already taken place, unless we agree otherwise per email.

Data disclosure

I will never ever sell any of your personal data (such as personal information about you, your event or your guests) to any third party. Basically, I only use your data internally for the purpose of providing the services.

I might have to disclose your personal data only if this is required by the law or by the authorities, or for the purpose of enforcing or defending legal rights or claims or if I consider such processing to be necessary on any other legal grounds. In such an eventuality I may disclose the data to a court or other parties involved in any proceedings (for instance, collection agencies).

Data retention

I store your personal data as long as it is required for the specific purpose for which it was collected. This generally amounts to 12 months since the conclusion of a contract. A ten-year retention period applies to certain data because of statutory requirements (such as tax regulations).

Security

I make every effort to ensure the security of your data within the framework of applicable data protection laws and state-of-the-art technical possibilities.

The website collects your personal data (relative to your orders and communications via the website) using the encrypted SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol.

I communicate with you using an encrypted email service whose servers are located in Switzerland. I regularly back up both the collected personal data and the data produced as part of the services (for instance, the digital designs and the invoices). I encrypt all the data locally with the AES-256 symmetric algorithm before it is backed up from the computers in my studio to third party cloud storage services located in Switzerland and Germany.

Despite all efforts, I cannot guarantee that the services will be available at specific times as disturbances, interruptions or failures may occur. Also, keep in mind that all data transmissions over the Internet might entail security gaps.

Rights in connection with the processing of your personal data

In connection with the processing of your personal data in my possess, you have the rights referred to by the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Parliament in chapter III, articles 15 to 22. These rights include:

  • Right of access - the right to be informed of, and request access to, the personal data I process about you;

  • Right to rectification - the right to request that I amend or update your personal data where it is inaccurate or incomplete;

  • Right to be forgotten - the right to request that I delete your personal data;

  • Right to restrict - the right to request that I temporarily or permanently stop processing all or some of your personal data;

  • Right to data portability - the right to request a copy of your personal data in electronic format and the right to transmit that personal data for use in another party's service;

  • Right to object

    • the right to object to me processing your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation;

    • the right to object to your personal data being processed for direct marketing purposes;

  • Right not to be subject to automated decision-making - the right to not be subject to a decision based solely on automated decision making, including profiling, where the decision would have a legal effect on you or produce a similarly significant effect.
